The laboratory is accredited to perform magnetic flux density measurement and electric field strength measurement for the evaluation of human exposure to electromagnetic fields (Accredited Tests List).




The laboratory performs measurements of electrical, magnetic and electromagnetic fields in order to evaluate the following product categories:
  • Electrical and electronic equipment;
  • Anti-theft Electronic Systems (EAS), Radio Frequency Identification Systems (RFID) and similar applications;
  • Industrial induction heating equipment;
  • Machinery.
Measurements that can be taken by the Laboratory are:
  • Electrical field measurement;
  • Magnetic field measurement;
  • Electromagnetic field measurement.
The measurements carried out by the laboratory are required to comply with the Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU) and the Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC) for the purposes of CE-marking the product. The Laboratory measurements can also be used to assess compliance with national and international regulations on the limitation of human exposure for workers and the general public such as:
  • European Recommendation 1999/519/EC "Recommendation on the limitation of exposure of the general public to electromagnetic fields (0 Hz to 300 GHz)";
  • Law no 36 dated 22 February 2001 "Framework Law on Protection against Exposure to Electrical, Magnetic and Electromagnetic Fields";
  • European Directive 2013/35 / EU "Directive on the minimum health and safety requirements regarding the exposure of workers to the risks arising from physical agents (electromagnetic fields)";
  • L. Decree no 159 dated 1 August 2016 "Implementing Directive 2013/35/EU on the minimum health and safety requirements regarding the exposure of workers to the risks arising from physical agents (electromagnetic fields)" and repealing Directive 2004/40/EC.
The laboratory is able to perform tests according to IEEE, ACGIH and Safety Code 6 international standards.
